A steel structure goes up quickly and adapts to almost any brief: a storage warehouse, a mezzanine floor to gain a level in an existing building, a canopy, a covered sports court, a padel court, a steel frame house. Maureo fabricates and erects these structures, either alone or in coordination with your architect and structural engineer.
We work with hot-rolled IPE and HEA sections, hollow sections and cold-formed purlins, bolted or welded as the design requires. Members are prepared in the workshop, hot-dip galvanised where exposure demands it, then erected on site with the appropriate lifting equipment. Roof sheeting, cladding and mezzanine decking are included when the project calls for them.
As on every job, we start with a site visit to understand the use, the layout and access for lifting. You receive a detailed quote within 5 days, fabrication starts on receipt of the deposit, and a single point of contact follows erection through to handover. For corporate clients we provide the RAMS and act as single point of responsibility for civil and steel works.

Typical lead time
Quote within 5 days of the site visit. A canopy or small mezzanine is fabricated and erected within a few weeks; a warehouse or full steel frame is programmed in phases. A detailed programme is included in the quote.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a structural engineer for a steel structure?
For a warehouse, a mezzanine carrying people or stock, or a steel frame house, yes: the calculations carry the safety of the building. For a simple canopy or shelter we size the members ourselves. We tell you which case applies during the site visit.
How long does a mezzanine floor take to install?
After drawing approval and deposit, workshop fabrication takes a few weeks, then erection on site is done in days to limit disruption to your operations. Firm dates are stated in the quote.
Is the steelwork galvanised?
We recommend hot-dip galvanising for any external or coastal structure. It is done after fabrication, before erection. For dry internal use, an anti-corrosion paint system can be sufficient.
Who does the foundations?
Either your civil contractor, working from our setting-out drawing and base plate details, or Maureo if you prefer a single point of responsibility for concrete and steel.
Do you supply a RAMS and supervise the site?
Yes. For corporate and industrial clients we issue a risk assessment and method statement before starting, and we supervise erection on site with a named contact for your team.
