Industrial metalwork

Industrial metalwork: bollards, HDG columns, platforms and brackets

Protection bollards, hot-dip galvanised columns and posts, access platforms, walkways, brackets and pipe supports for factories, depots and fuel stations. Fabricated and installed on operating sites.

On an industrial site, metalwork protects people, equipment and installations: bollards in front of a pump or a rack upright, HDG columns for a canopy, an access platform to a machine, a walkway, pipe supports and brackets. Maureo fabricates these items and installs them on operating sites, following your permit-to-work and safety rules.

Hot-dip galvanising is the standard for anything outdoors or in an aggressive atmosphere: it protects the steel through the coating, edges and tube interiors included, with no maintenance. Items are fabricated in the workshop, sent for galvanising, then installed with chemical anchors or concrete bases depending on the ground. Platforms come with grating or chequer plate, handrails and kick plates.

We visit the site to measure, understand traffic and flows, and agree the intervention windows with your site manager. You receive a detailed quote within 5 days, with the RAMS when your site requires it. Our team supervises the installation, anywhere in Mauritius.

Frequently asked questions

Can you install without stopping production?

Usually yes. Everything is prepared in the workshop and installation is scheduled in your windows: night shifts, weekends or isolated areas. This is agreed with your site manager before the quote.

Do you provide a RAMS before starting?

Yes. For sites that require it we issue the risk assessment and method statement, together with the list of personnel and equipment, before mobilising. It is part of the quote.

Why hot-dip galvanising rather than paint?

Hot-dip galvanising protects the steel through the coating, including edges and the inside of tubes, which paint does not. Outdoors or in a saline atmosphere it is the finish that lasts.

How are the bollards fixed?

Either cast into a concrete base or bolted to a base plate with chemical anchors in an existing slab. The choice depends on the ground and the level of protection required; we confirm it on site.

Are you a single point of responsibility for civil and steel works?

Yes. When bollards or columns need new concrete bases, Maureo does the civil work as well, so you deal with one contractor and one programme.

A roofing, gate or steel structure project?

Describe it in two lines, with photos or drawings if you have them. Reply within 48 h, quote within 5 days.
