Hot-dip galvanised steel columns for a developer at Anahita
Hot-dip galvanised steel columns fabricated in the workshop with base plates, then delivered and erected on a development by JMD at Anahita, coordinated with the other trades on site.
On a residential development at Anahita, developer JMD needed steel columns that would remain exposed to sea air. Hot-dip galvanising was specified: it protects the steel through the coating, tube interiors included, with no maintenance over time.
We fabricated the columns and base plates in the workshop with the galvanising cycle in mind from the start: vent holes, dimensions compatible with the bath, and touch-up planned at contact points. After galvanising, the columns were delivered and erected on site with the appropriate lifting equipment.
The work was coordinated with the other contractors on the development so the columns went in at the right point in the sequence, between the foundations and the works that followed.
